Andrew Abbott is a highly skilled registered counsellor and equine assisted therapist who has dedicated his career to helping individuals overcome emotional challenges and improve their overall well-being. With a deep passion for horses and a profound belief in the healing power of the human-animal connection, Andrew specialises in equine-assisted therapy, blending his expertise in counselling with his love for horses to facilitate transformative healing experiences.
Andrew’s approach to therapy is holistic, person-centred, and rooted in empathy and compassion. Andrew understands that each individual’s journey is unique, and he tailors his therapeutic interventions to meet the specific needs and goals of his clients. By integrating horses into the therapeutic process, Andrew creates a safe and nurturing environment where individuals can explore their emotions, gain insight into their patterns of behaviour, and develop new coping strategies.
As an equine therapist, Andrew has witnessed the profound impact that horses can have on emotional healing and personal growth. Andrew believes that horses, with their intuitive nature and nonjudgmental presence, serve as powerful co-facilitators in the therapeutic process. Through activities such as grooming, groundwork, and guided interactions with the horses, Andrew helps his clients develop self-awareness, build trust, enhance communication skills, and learn valuable life lessons that can be applied beyond the therapy sessions.
Andrew’s expertise extends to a wide range of mental health issues, including anxiety, depression, trauma, grief, and relationship difficulties. Andrew provides a warm and supportive space for individuals, couples, and families to navigate their emotional challenges and find the strength and resilience to create positive change in their lives.
With Andrew as your registered counsellor and equine therapist, you can expect a compassionate, nonjudgmental, and collaborative therapeutic experience. His dedication to empowering his clients and his unwavering belief in the healing potential of the human-animal bond make him a trusted guide on the path towards emotional well-being and personal growth.
