A new opportunity to connect, learn and share
Have Your Say!
Please take a moment to let us know what day and time would suit you if you plan to join our Parent Support Group for families raising children with ASD.
Support Group Details
Raising a child with ASD can feel heavy on some days. You deal with routines, sensory needs, school expectations and the emotional load that comes with it. Many parents tell us they often feel alone in these moments. A support group can change that.
We are commencing a Parent Support Group for families raising children with ASD.
What the group will look like
This group would be supported by one of our Registered Counsellors. You would meet with other parents who understand your daily pressures. You would talk through practical challenges and share ideas that work at home and at school.
Sessions would include:
- Guided discussions led by a Counsellor
- A professional Guest Speaker when available
- A space for you to raise current challenges
- Simple strategies that other parents use
- Honest conversations about what has not worked
- Short activities that help with planning and problem-solving
- Time to build your support network
Why this matters
Parents often carry the responsibility alone. A group like this can give you:
- Better understanding of your childโs behaviour
- Practical tools that fit your home
- Support from others living a similar life
- A safe place to talk without judgement
You gain useful steps you can use right away.
